This is one of the favorite budget hotels in central Rome ten minutes from the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia. From this bed and breakfast in central Rome, most major landmarks are within easy walking reach.

All around the area you will find bars, gelato and coffee shops, restaurants for your dinner out. Plus, it’s well-served by public transport (metro B with Cavour station and several buses) to reach other areas also in the evening.

The exclusive location, the comforts of the room and the elegant décor of the rooms for prices starting from 113 euro for a double bedroom make this one of the top budget hotels in the city center.

Prices start from 181 euro for a double room with two guests or 178 with one guest in high season, while when it’s lower season prices can start from 123 for a double with two guests.

This is a slightly more expensive accommodation option but not a boutique hotel, yet a boutique B&B right close to the Spanish Steps. Hardly in need of any description, this area is one of the most exclusive if you are looking for a Rome hotel in the city center.

The position, the lovely interior decoration, the rooms, the modern private bathrooms and the service are what sets the rates to start from 250 euro for a double bedroom with Italian and international breakfast included.

LHG Comfy Rooms, cheap hotel in central Rome

This is a guesthouse in central Rome located some ten minutes walk from Via Veneto and Villa Borghese Park from the entrance close to the great museum Galleria Borghese.

The location of the inn is quite an office area, so don’t be surprised if many places are open mainly on weekdays. And don’t worry, you will find plenty open also on the weekend. Nearby, you can also visit Quartiere Coppedè, one of Rome’s hidden gems, and try some lovely eateries like Smor for street food-style Scandinavian delicacies.

This guesthouse provides all the basic services for a comfortable stay such as private bathroom, flat-screen TV, free WIFI, laptop-size safe, minibar. Standard rooms look at the main road while Deluxe rooms feature a private balcony and a view of the property’s garden.

Located in Via Cavour close to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, this is one of the best places to stay in Rome for sightseeing, especially the ancient ruins being very easy to reach on foot. Trevi Fountain is about 15 minutes walk away, while the Pantheon and Piazza Navona some 20 minutes of pleasant stroll through the city center.

Rooms are simple but modern and spacious, and so is the bathroom, complete with shower and hairdryer. The breakfast, with both sweet and savory options, is served in the room.

In the surroundings of your hotel you will find plenty of restaurants, shops, bars, as well as landmarks worth visiting such as San Pietro in Vincoli Basilica, very close, and Santa Maria Maggiore, Santa Prassede and Santa Pudenziana basilicas some 10 minutes walk away. Most of them are beautiful and lesser-visited churches in Rome.
